Plant Manager - Dual Fuel Steam / Electric Generation Plant Reporting to the VP in charge of operations for a generating plant based in a coastal area in the western USA. Will be responsible for all O&M functions and some asset management functions for a relatively small (less than 60 MW) plant providing steam and electric to an industrial user, and surplus electric to a local utility. Plant owner is an independent power producer. Responsible for the full range of plant O&M, Capital improvements and regulatory requirements for this 24 / 7 facility. Great quality of life location for coastal recreation. Option on permanent payroll or an interim contract position. Must have a technical degree, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering and at least five years O&M supervisory experience involving steam boilers and steam turbines. Some solid fuel (coal, biomass, refuse etc.) experience is preferred. Experience should include regulatory savvy and having interacted with regulators and agencies. Should have broad and deep knowledge in managing O&M organizations from A to Z. Will consider current plant managers and lower level managers / supervisors who may qualify to step-up. Instrumentation and Controls Sales Engineer Will have regional responsibility within the USA for marketing and selling instrumentation and controls (I&C) products, systems and services. Applications are industrial, process, and power. Extensive regional traveled required. Will visit plants and corporate offices. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, an engineering degree is preferred. Must have technical experience involving plant I&C. Some rotating equipment experience is a plus. Previous sales experience is helpful but not required. Manager of Electrical and I&C - Process / Power Gen Will be responsible for plant Electrical and I&C functions including capital improvements, daily and long term maintenance, budgeting, project execution and managing a department of 45 individuals (professional, technical and hourly). Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline preferably Electrical Engineering. A minimum of five years of related management / engineering experience involving modern plant electrical and I&C systems. Must have experience managing Elec / I&C technicians and plant personnel. Candidates may come from power companies or the process industry ....... paper and pulp, refinery, food processing, petrochem and chem etc. Project Environmental Manager For New Electric Transmission Infrastructure Projects in the USA Manages environmental compliance during pre-construction, construction, testing and turnover of new high voltage substations and overhead transmission lines. Develops and implements environmental programs, manages external consultants, audits sub-contractors, engages with the community, coordinates with government agencies, tracks and reports on regulatory compliance. Supports the permitting process. A member of a regional project management team for long-term capital projects. An option to relocate to a regional office at employer’s expense or to work on a payroll / per diem living expenses basis with monthly trips home at employer’s expense. This is a full-time payroll position with paid OT, an annual bonus, generous benefits and long-term career prospects. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as environmental science, civil engineering, chemistry, biology etc. Must have a minimum of five years environmental compliance experience involving significant construction projects. Prefer energy sector experience involving construction of electric generating plants, transmission systems or cross country pipeline projects. Should have experience in the full-range of Federal and State environmental regulations applicable to related infrastructure projects. Environmental certifications are a plus.
